The academic session for the 1st , 3rd, 5th , 7th and 9th semester will commence as far as possible from 1st day of July , while for 2nd , 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th semester will commence from 1st day of January every year.

The candidates admitted to 5 yrs. LL.B. course shall be examined in the subject as mentioned in subsequent pages.

The students of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th semester shall be required to undergo court visits which are compulsory.

The scope of topics in various papers will be as mentioned in the syllabus.

Without prejudice to the other provisions of the ordinance no, 6 relating to Examinations in general , the provisions of Para. 5, 8, and 31 of the said ordinance shall apply to every collegiate candidate.

The fees for the examination shall be as prescribed by the University from time to time.

The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English. Question papers for the examination. Shall be set in English, However , the candidates will have the option to write their answers either in English , hindi or Marathi.

A. each paper / subject for the examination of 1st to 4th semester will be of 100 marks . For the purposes of passing the subject/paper student shall secure 40 marks minimum. However, for passing entire semester 50% aggregate marks necessary.
B. In order to get exemption in the subject the candidate should have secured atleast 40% marks in theory.

There Shall be no classification of the successful examinees except in 6th and 10th sem.

The examinee who gives the option for the degree of B.A. in law in the first sem. Examination shall be awarded the said degree on passing in the 6th semester exam. the candidate after obtaining B.A. in law degree can continue his education for law course and on passing the 10th sem. Exam shall be the LL.B. degree.
Provided Firstly, That B.A. in law degree shall be non-professional degree
Secondly, The B.A. in law degree shall not entitle the holder to seek admission in any course falling within the purview of the other faculties unless the concerned faculties make provision for giving admission to candidates in relevant subject.
Thirdly, that the B.A. in law degree shall not entitle the holder to seek admission to any post graduate degree /diploma examination of the university in the faculty of law

An examinee who secures 60% and above marks in all semesters taken together shall be placed in first division and all other successful examinees will be placed in second division. An examinee who secures 75% and more marks shall be declared to have passed the examination with distinction.

The provisions of direction no.9 of 2002 relating to the award of grace marks for passing an examination, securing higher division/class and for securing distinction in subject(s) as updated from time to time shall apply to the examination under this direction.

Notwithstanding anything contrary to this direction, no person shall be admitted to an examination under this Direction, if the candidate has already passed that examination of this University or an equivalent examination of any other statutory University.

An examinee successful at the LL.B 6th and or 10th semester examination shall on payment of prescribed fee receive a degree signed by the Vice-Chancellor.

The direction shall come into from the academic session 2009-2010 and shall remain in force till the relevant ordinance comes into in accordance with provision of the Act.
